It blew my mind what we got to do in films & ad’s. The stories I have & the work we got to do.
To me editing is about creating moments. What I really love is the collaboration and how diff viewpoints & life experience inform those moments. And then how to negotiate all that.
For me filmmaking & editing is all about ideas. Lots of them. Good ones, weird ones, shit ones, simple ones. Some of the best ideas are so ludicrous they must be tried. As do the obvious ones which skittle the other 20 problems you’ve been having getting something to work. A good idea can come from anywhere. So can a bad one.
I use to have a bit here about name drop jobs & moments & the people I’ve met along the way. What a pleasure & privilege to have met & worked with all those talented & hardworking souls. Would consider an edit in very rare circumstances if it has risk, merit & appeal. No woke pysop bullshit here.
Love blues, folk, metal, & trip hop, anything with heart. Anything with piano. jazz, rap. Not a one trick pony as I can talk at length about the ins & outs of the global monetary system, fast German saloon cars, tech, farming stuff and I know my way round a hammer, drill and a saw.
